A Cry for Mercy: Standing for Life in New Orleans

We experienced an unforgettable gathering in New Orleans. As Pro-life leaders and intercessors from across the nation converged to cry out to for mercy, I was met with an extraordinary sight outside the federal courthouse. The entire front of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals were lined with believers standing in complete silence, red tape across their mouths that said: LIFE.

For me, it was a deeply stirring week of remembrance. Recounting the Lord’s faithfulness filled my heart with fresh faith: Moses’ birth on the exact day abortion ended in Texas; the privilege of leading worship at IHOPKC the historic hour Roe v. Wade was overturned; memories of our very first Silent Prayer Siege in Washington, DC when I was 21; and God whispering to my spirit, “What about the elderly?”as I stood in silence years ago. Telling these testimonies again and again sparked a burning expectation: “Lord, what do You have for us next?”

Cleansing the Mississippi from the Abortion Pill

God called us to worship, repent, and cleanse the water of the Mississippi from the abortion pill

The answer arrived with astonishing clarity and precision. One of our seasoned intercessors—who faithfully intercedes alongside me for our lawyer and leader, Allan Parker (President of The Justice Foundation)—sensed a profound prophetic burden: we were to go directly to the waters of the Mississippi River and pray for their cleansing from the spiritual and physical defilement of the abortion pill.

On September 8 at 2:00 PM, we gathered on the riverbanks in New Orleans. I led worship while we fell to our knees in deep repentance, asking God to forgive our nation, wash our land, and purify the river.

What followed shook us to our core: The very next day, September 9, the EPA formally announced a nationwide scientific study testing drinking water for pharmaceutical pollutants—and for the first time in history, officially confirmed they will be screening for trace amounts of the abortion pills. To see heaven move federal agencies less than twenty-four hours after we poured out our hearts by the river was a reminder that our God answers prayer!

Continued Prayer is Needed

Right: At the end of every Silent Prayer Siege we collect the tape creating a “memorial stone” for the unborn

Pray with me for the Fifth Circuit judges. Ask God to turn their hearts toward righteousness and grant them the courage to rule in favor of LIFE. We also urgently need focused intercession for the Trump administration. Because this active litigation is against the FDA, we are believing for God to move on President Trump’s heart to take an uncompromising stand against chemical abortion—reversing the reckless Biden-era policies that allowed dangerous abortion pills to be distributed via virtual appointments and shipped through the mail. As Justice Samuel Alito pointedly declared, mail-order distribution of these drugs is a:

“Scheme to undermine our decision in Dobbs v. Jackson… which restored the right of each State to decide how to regulate abortions within its borders.”

This case will ultimately reach the highest court in the land. When it arrives at the Supreme Court, I plan to be on the ground in Washington, D.C., leading worship and interceding on the front lines. Thank you for standing with us in prayer!

After New Orleans, I spent three days on a mountain in Arkansas to hear the voice of the Lord. It was a wonderful few days. I feel so envisioned from Him for the future!
